- Go to your home screen.
- In the charging case open your Airpods, Now open the charging case, and hold the chargin case next to your phone. A setup animation will appear on your iPhone.
- Now tap on connect to connect your Airpods
- Read the next three steps if you have AirPods Pro or AirPods (3rd generation).
- Hey Siri is ready to use with your AirPods if you have AirPods Pro, AirPods (2nd generation), or AirPods (3rd generation) and you have already configured “Hey Siri” on your iPhone. You will be taken through the setup process if you have AirPods Pro, AirPods (2nd generation), or AirPods (3rd generation) and haven’t already activated “Hey Siri.”
- Click Done.

Your iPhone could try to automatically connect to other Bluetooth audio devices before your AirPods if you have a variety of Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and other audio equipment. There’s a chance you’ll need to unplug other devices before connecting your AirPods to your iPhone.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the I next to the name of the Bluetooth device to unpair it from your iPhone. Then click Forget This Device or Disconnect. The next time you want to connect the device, you will need to completely reset it if you decide to forget about it.
